There may be some who are having second thoughts in having strangers in their house nowadays with the Novel Coronavirus fast spreading around the globe. Should we risk hiring a cleaner?
Hiring a Miami house cleaning service in the past has made home owners happier, healthier and more productive. A clean surrounding can prevent bacteria and virus spreading. Regular cleaning could reduce allergies and get rid of molds. It lowers the risk of injury and wards off pests.
Nowadays, we have been advised by health workers to keep our distance from people especially strangers. It is believed that the more careless we are, the harder it would be to contain the virus.
Businesses have been closed as a result of this pandemic. A lot are afraid and panicking which has caused cleaning services to be cancelled. Everyone wants to secure their safety.
These pose a problem for the domestic workers who live on daily income. Are the rich obligated to pay even if they cancel? What about the elderly and disabled who doesn’t have the ability to clean their houses?
According to Professor Cuchara, a cleaner is safer compared with other service workers who come to the house. “They have to worry about infectious disease all the time,” she said. “I think it seems that they’re the most prepared than all of us to deal with it. It’s tough to know where to draw the line. We’re doing takeout and delivery and not testing the food workers.”
It has been suggested by the National Domestic Workers Alliance, an advocacy group that the house cleaners halt going inside private house until the pandemic is over to keep them and their clients away from harm.
The organization advised that if you are wealthy and could afford to pay, it would be considerate to pay them what you normally do knowing that they would be glad to come back to your house once this is over. It’s best to stay at home to prevent the fast spread of the virus. We could do our own good deed by supporting those in need when we have the chance.
Our home is our sweet haven. It’s the safest place we could be in right now. Letting a cleaner inside our home could be a little risky. Dr Garg suggested that the home owner could provide the cleaning supplies that should be sued. The family members could stay seven feet away from the cleaner as she does the chores of cleaning.
Cleaning may be important to a lot of people but if having a stranger in your house to do it for you would bring more stress than relief, then it’s better to wait until things are back to normal. Having a healthy state f mind and not worrying helps a lot in building a better immune system which in return could help us fight off viruses when needed.
